Purity of recycled, single material plastic can play an important role in the plastic industry. Although environmental laws are implemented all over the world to increase the use of recycled plastic, in reality, there are limitations that prevent reusing. In order to produce refined goods, recycled plastic must be composed of a single material plastic. Unfortunately, plastic of poor quality and in mixed composition are often what we have to work with.
Due to the reasons above, most businesses are hesitant when it comes to buying recycled plastic. A lack of an accurate evaluation system may be another reason why.
In order to alleviate issues of the recycled plastic industry, Repla has devised a product that
measures the purity of plastic.
- PuryChecker is a device that measures the purity of plastic
PuryChecker is 991 cm in length, 488 cm in width, and 624 cm in height. It is a table type device that produces results based on the ratio of single material plastics derived from evaluating plastic flake pieces inputted using NIR sensors.
Able to check up to 20 kg per test, the test determines 5 plastic types (PP,PE,PS,PET,PVC) on a standard basis. However, with added functions, metal types (AI,Cu,SUS,Steel) and color values (RGB) can be determined as well.
Using the software’s algorithms on data collected from the sensors, the purity value of a single material plastic for the batch is determined. The respective data can then be stored as a documentation report accessed via mobile app or PC.
-How to use?
PuryChecker is operable using the PC and custom SW provided.
After connecting the PuryChecker to the PC, open the feeder and input flakes for testing.
Enable the software and set it to test mode (*Three modes: normal & fast & QC)
Input numbers for test and start.
Check for the documentation report of the analyzed test on the window list.

For convenience, customization of PuryChecker is available and can be provided in a form different from a table type.
