Repla’s ‘plascan’ can identify the plastic material type with just a simple scan. 

Designed to be user-friendly, it has a single-hand ergonomic grip and only weighs about 320g. While easy to use, the scanned data can be conveniently viewed on the screen attached to the handheld device.

-How it works?

 

Based on principles of optics, ‘plascan’ uses NIR(Near-infrared spectroscopy) sensors to detect light of specific wavelength absorbed by different chemical compositions of plastic materials- producing both fast and accurate results. 

 

-What materials can be identified?

 

There are 9 standard plastic materials that can be identified: 

PP, PE, PC, PVC, PS, PET, ABS, PLA, PA6(Nylon).

If needed, custom order can be made for identifying other additional materials types.

 

-How to use?

Hold ‘plascan’ close to the plastic material being scanned. 

Press the button to scan and the display will show the identified plastic type. 

The scanned data can then be stored as a pdf documentation report accessed via mobile app or PC. 

Use a C-type cable to quickly charge the device for use.
