Repla's technological solution boosts the purity level from 98% to 100% by preserving a single plastic material and degrading the rest using bacteria. 
 
By feeding mixed-material plastic to bacteria, which consume all but one material, the remaining material can be collected and recycled. This approach not only increases the rate of plastic material recycling but also potentially boosts profits for recycling plants.
